One of the highlights from last year spring in Challenge happened on the weekend of Feb 19, 2016. The Challenge girls club had their annual spring retreat at Camp Lake Swan in Melrose, FL. It was a fun, faith filled weekend that gathered together over thirty girls from all over Florida. The retreat began Friday night with some icebreakers that helped everyone to meet new people, get to know one another better, and kick the weekend off. The girls split into teams and spent the retreat competing and playing activities against the other teams. Saturday was a full day of games, adoration, Mass, and human foosball. Through the course of the day every girl learned more about the faith and participated in group activities that helped build teamwork and virtue. Over the weekend, two consecrated women were available for talk and counsel, and Father Brock was available for confession. On Saturday night there was a gorgeous hour of candle lit adoration. It was very peaceful and I was moved by the Holy Spirit. The entire weekend was very memorable.
