Christina Campbell – the club leader in Challenge Phoenix- shared the amazing mission experience that her Challenge club did at their parish. It’s amazing what the girls can do when they set their minds and time to it! Sounds like a busy week but a memorable one that touched many lives. Congratulations to the Challenge club in Phoenix! “I just wanted to let everybody know about the wonderful work that our Challenge girls did during Holy Week this year. We had Holy Week Missions in and around St. Anne’s parish and accomplished so much! We all know that whatever we do to the least of God’s people, we are doing for Him. Our girls did much to console the heart of Jesus on his road to Calvary this year. About 15 girls participated, and here is what was accomplished in three days: 51 boxes of Manna Pack meals were packed for Feed My Starving Children (11,016 meals); Hundreds of parishioners were present when our girls hosted Stations of the Cross service for Children at St. Anne’s; 12 fleece tie blankets were made for hospitalized children for the Project Linus ; 43 boxes of books, toys and games were assembled for hospitalized children for the Jared Box Project ; 40 bags of lunches were assembled for homeless families for Save the Family; dozens of boxes of food were distributed to needy families at Friends of the Needy (St. Anne’s ministry to the poor in the area); dozens of fliers with Mass and Confession times for Easter weekend were distributed to the local neighborhood; The girls helped clean and decorate the church to prepare for Easter; dozens of Easter Eggs were colored as the girls visited with residents of Emeritus Senior Living of Gilbert.”
