From June 24-29 in Winchester, Virgina, the Challenge girls participated in a special summer camp with the theme “ECyD Corps”.
Each day the girls learned of a different branch of the military – the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, etc.. Part of the learning was about the motto of that military branch such as “Semper Fidelis”, Semper Paratus, Aim High: Flight, Fight, Win.
The girls had training, a mission and regroup each day. The girls learned about feminine strength and how to every day apostles. Two women who are Marines came and shared their testimonies with the girls. They also had the opportunity to run drills with them. Camp would not be complete without the messy Olympics! Some other activities that the girls loved were dance practice, a life size game of Clue and a Eucharistic procession with all-night adoration. Everyone is looking forward to next year’s camp and adventure.
